Remy from Ratatouille sculpt

I've been going in and out of ZBrush when I have time because I love how interactive it can be to create a model. Unfortunately I'm still in the practice phase so not much to show. My friend, Darrin, has been going along the paces with it as well. So over the weekend he mentioned that I should try out another sculpting app named Sculptris. It's completely free and constantly rebuilds the geometry as your sculpting so it seems to be an amazing way to sculpt out a full figure from a sphere.

So I gave it a try, starting with a sphere, and went with a character that had a fairly simple overall shape to it. The hands took a bit of time to adjust given the tools provided but I love the way it adds more triangles to the geometry in the new ares you decide to sculpt. If you have any interest in creating your own characters some day I definitely encourage you to try both Zbrush and Sculptris!

I was back in Kansas City for the holidays and I was able to take a few photos of some of the small rural parts of the environment near my parents' place.

Time for a Duel

Dolly Test

I've recently jumped into video and photography so I'll be posting tests from those areas of interest as well! The first video I'll post is a dolly test I did from a dolly that I built.

Dolly Test 2 from Adam Strick on Vimeo.

Just a few shots testing the new DIY dolly setup that consists of smoother roller blade wheels and the track consisting of 1/2" plumbing pipe instead of pvc.
